Down by the Riverside

I had something in mind when I went down to Riverside park on Sunday. I wanted to video some high contrast footage of trees and tree branches so that I could play with some effects I had in mind. When I got there, I was completely surprised to find the park filled with families with young children making good use of the recent snowfall. I ended up shooting some footage of them because they just looked so - happy.

I got home and still used the inky effect I had in mind and I like the result , it looks like a childhood memory of a Snow Day.

More images from the Flower District on 28th st. I've put together some images that seem more urban- the monochrome colors of the catkins against the buildings, boxes of floral 'parts', stacked branches on the sidewalk.

Spring Deliveries

They are toiling in the flower district of Manhattan to deliver Spring a little earlier to you. Brown paper packages pile up on the sidewalk and are hurried into shops. Here, in another shop who knows who long ago spring has already been there,waiting.
