I love seeing this van, a regular at the Union Square market. Its owned by the people who sell wheatgrass and alfalfa for juicing or for your pet to munch on. Its a symbolic reminder of the effort required living in an urban environment to keep connected with nature- you have to pay someone to grow your grass and drive it in to the city for you. The van is also a flashback to what my good friend Kelly calls "Hippy Shake"- remember patchouli oil and long hair and granola before it became Wholefoods ? Peace.
