Moon River Back Door

I love visiting this Williamsburg store, Moon River Chattel, if nothing else to go to the back of the store to take another look at the back door and window that leads to a small garden. They have a great selection of home accessories and furniture that have a plain/simple aesthetic but of good quality and timeless appeal. A regular purchase for me is the Vervain soap.

Green Ferns

Cool green ferns and purple allium flowers at the Shakespeare Garden in Central park on an equally cool but sunny Spring day. An image worth bringing to mind now that the temperatures are starting to climb.

Rhubarb

I just love the color combination here - that gradation from red to green and that particular rhubarb red. From the Farmer's market at Union Square.

Evergreen

This is a spot on 6th Ave just around the corner from 28th street where the flower and plant wholesalers are. The view is a shifting one, within minutes almost everything that had been stacked outside the shopfront had been moved into a van.

Wrapped

The pale pastel colors of the tissue that wrapped these alstroemeria gave an interesting sophistication to the color palette of this photograph.

Corner

This is an area of aesthetic fascination of mine and will be a recurring theme - the pairing of geometrical planes with organic lines. Here the sharp fresh greens of new leaves contrast with the pink walls of an East Village building.
